"We wanted a concrete pool in The Woodlands that fit a tight backyard. Liquid Therapy Pools walked the yard with us, laid out our options and gave us a clear proposal before work began. The crew kept us updated the whole way. Our kids barely leave the water now."

"Our pool in Spring was stained and rough on the feet, so we called about resurfacing. They talked us through color and finish options first, which meant no surprises later. The water looks clean and bright, and our weekends start at the pool again."

"Our Kingwood pool needed more than a patch job. Liquid Therapy Pools planned a full remodel and showed us the layout, scope and pricing up front. The crew respected our home and kept the site tidy. It feels like a brand-new backyard without starting over."

Water Features

Pool Water Features You Can See and Hear

Pool water features in North Houston: waterfalls, sheer descents, scuppers and deck jets for new or existing pools. Moving water changes how a backyard feels. It adds sound, gives the eye somewhere to land and makes the pool the centerpiece even when nobody’s swimming. We’ll help you pick a feature that suits your pool’s style, your seating and the view from the house, and plan the plumbing so it runs the way it should. Plan yours at a free consultation.

Sound That Softens the Noise: Moving water helps mask road noise and a neighbor's AC unit, which matters on tighter lots. Pick a soft sheet of water or a louder cascade depending on how close it sits to seating.

A View From Inside: Place the feature where you'll see it from the kitchen window or the living room, not just from the pool. You'll enjoy it every day, even when nobody's swimming.

Easiest With Other Work: A feature needs a plumbing line from the equipment, which usually means cutting through deck. Pairing it with a new pool, a remodel or deck work keeps that simple.

Backyard inspiration: sandstone boulder cascade flowing into a curved pool beside shaded planting.

Pick by Sound and View

Every feature sounds different. A sheer descent makes a soft hush, while a rock waterfall is much louder. Think about where you'll sit and what you'll see from the house, then match the feature to that spot. Request a Consultation and we'll help you narrow it down.

Adding a Waterfall to an Existing Pool

It's usually doable. The feature needs its own plumbing line and enough pump power to run it, and larger ones often get a dedicated pump. Sheer descents and scuppers usually go into a new raised wall at the pool's edge, which adds a backdrop and extra seating. Tell us what you have now and we'll tell you what fits.

Popular Pool Water Features

Rock Waterfalls

The loudest, most natural-looking option. A good fit when the pool is surrounded by planting beds.

Sheer Descents & Scuppers

A smooth sheet of water from a raised wall, or a spout pouring into the pool. Quieter and cleaner-lined.

Deck Jets & Bubblers

Arcs of water from the deck, or bubbles on a shallow ledge. Kids love them, and they take little space.

Can you add a waterfall to an existing pool?

Yes, in most cases. The feature needs a plumbing line from the equipment and enough pump power to run it. That usually means cutting a path through part of the deck, so it's easiest to do alongside deck work or a remodel. Sheer descents and scuppers are often built into a new raised wall at the pool's edge, which also adds seating and a backdrop.

Does a pool water feature need its own pump?

Not always. Small features like bubblers and deck jets can often run off the pool's main pump. Larger waterfalls and sheer descents usually do better on a dedicated pump, so the feature gets the flow it needs without stealing circulation from the pool. A separate pump also lets you turn the feature on and off without changing how the pool filters.

What types of water features can you add to a pool?

The most common are rock waterfalls, sheer descents (a smooth sheet of water falling from a raised wall), scuppers that pour from a wall, deck jets that arc water into the pool, and bubblers on a tanning ledge. Each sounds different. A sheer descent is a soft hush; a rock waterfall is much louder. Choose by the view from the house and how much sound you want near the seating.
