"We wanted a concrete pool in The Woodlands that fit a tight backyard. Liquid Therapy Pools walked the yard with us, laid out our options and gave us a clear proposal before work began. The crew kept us updated the whole way. Our kids barely leave the water now."

"Our pool in Spring was stained and rough on the feet, so we called about resurfacing. They talked us through color and finish options first, which meant no surprises later. The water looks clean and bright, and our weekends start at the pool again."

"Our Kingwood pool needed more than a patch job. Liquid Therapy Pools planned a full remodel and showed us the layout, scope and pricing up front. The crew respected our home and kept the site tidy. It feels like a brand-new backyard without starting over."

Fire Features & Firepits

Keep the Night Going After the Swim

Fire features and firepits in North Houston, from flames at the pool’s edge to a firepit with seating all around. Houston doesn’t get many cold nights, but the ones it gets are made for sitting around a fire with family and friends. Fire also gives the backyard light and a focal point after sunset, especially next to water. We’ll help you choose the right spot, size and setting so it fits the way you entertain. Ask about both at a free consultation.

A Reason to Stay Outside: A firepit gives everyone a place to land after the swim, especially on the cool fall and winter nights Houston does get. The backyard keeps working long after sunset.

Fire Next to Water: Flames beside the pool reflect across the water after dark and pull the whole yard together. They give the backyard a focal point you can see from the patio and from the kitchen window.

The Right Spot: A firepit needs its own seating area off the main path, clear of walls, furniture and anything overhead. We plan where it goes before picking the pit itself.

Backyard inspiration: round stone firepit with wooden chairs on a flagstone patio.

Plan the Seating First

The firepit is the easy part. The seating around it decides whether people stay. Plan a ring of chairs with room to stretch your legs and get up without squeezing past the flames, then size the pit to the circle. Request a Consultation and we'll help you lay it out.

Burn Bans and Fuel Choice

Texas counties often issue burn bans in dry spells. Gas fire features are frequently exempt, but each county sets its own rules, so check yours. If you want a fire you can light most of the year, weigh that before choosing gas or wood. We'll talk through both at your free consultation.

Two Ways to Bring Fire Outside

Fire Features

Flames along a raised wall or at the pool's edge add light and a focal point right at the water.

Outdoor Firepits

A dedicated firepit with seating around it, set off the main path, where everyone ends up after dark.

Gas or Wood

Gas lights with a switch and makes no smoke. Wood brings real crackle but needs more clearance and cleanup.

Can a firepit be installed on an existing patio?

Usually, yes. A freestanding firepit can sit on most solid pavers or concrete, with a heat-resistant pad if the maker calls for one. A built-in pit needs a stable base and the right clearances, and a gas pit needs a line run to it, which can mean cutting into the patio. Plan the seating first so the firepit doesn't end up blocking a walkway.

Should I get a gas or wood-burning firepit?

Gas lights with a switch, makes no smoke or ash and is easier to place near a pool, but it needs a gas line run to it. Wood gives you real crackle and campfire smell, with smoke, sparks and cleanup, and it needs more clearance from the house and furniture. Texas counties often issue burn bans in dry spells. Gas fire features are frequently exempt, but check your county's rules.

Where should a firepit go near a pool?

Give it its own seating area, a few steps off the main path between the house and pool. Keep it away from the pool entry so wet feet and flames don't share the same route. Follow the firepit's install manual for distance from walls, furniture and anything overhead, like a covered patio or tree limbs. For wood, place it so the usual breeze carries smoke away from the house.
